Mobile Design & Development is a new O'Reilly Media book being written by Brian Fling.
In this book you will learn the principles and techniques of creating mobile web sites and web apps for all mobile devices. We'll discuss what makes mobile, specifically the mobile web, one of the most unique and powerful mediums we've ever seen. I'll cover the essential principles for designing great experiences for the mobile medium, including how to take advantage of the mobile context, physical location, touch, accelerometers, and other means of input to create intuitive interfaces that work.
We'll go in depth into content adaptation principles and how to create not only rich mobile AJAX-enabled web apps for devices that support next generation mobile web browsers like the iPhone, Android and others, but how to style your content to work on older browsers as well.
